ECE Fiber awarded broadband development grant

East Central Energy is proud to announce that the cooperative has been awarded another grant to help with the development of ECE Fiber! The grant will be administered from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development’s (DEED) Border-to-Border Broadband Development program for nearly $5 million. Grants like this help to make ECE Fiber a reality.

This grant targets southern Isanti County, which includes parts of the Isanti, Cambridge, North Branch, and Stacy areas. In order to meet grant requirements, this area will be included in the 2024 construction plan and completed by the summer of 2026.
